Some cute headcanons for R76 day!

× They have a strict ‘no physical affection at work’ policy that they keep to 90% of the time. Up until the last few years of Overwatch, the two of them had a near perfect balance when it came to work and relationship.

× Being so busy with their jobs doesn’t leave a lot of time for ‘them’, so they happily take what they can get. When schedules allow, bathing, work outs, naps, etc. is all done together.

× Gabriel is a great dancer. Jack is not. But that doesn’t stop Gabe from pulling his lover close and manhandling him around their living room to some fast paced beat. Jack laughs and tries his best, but the man has no rhythm.

× Jack, however, is probably one of the top ten mechanical bull riders in the world. “Weird flex, but okay,” Gabe is quoted saying, right before Jack went to prove it and made him have a second sexual awakening inside some bar back in Indiana.

× Gabe has a knack for making Jack laugh. In the right mood, he can make the other man laugh until he’s crying, and it’s Gabriel’s favorite superpower.

× When Gabe is away on missions, Jack always sleeps on the couch because no matter how okay he is with their lifstyles, being in their bed by himself is just too lonely.

× Gabe’s biggest flaw in the relationship is trying to deflect serious moments with humor.

× Jack’s biggest flaw is that he trusts too much.

× Gabe once shaved his beard completely and it made Jack so uncomfortable he wouldn’t kiss him until it grew back. “It feels like.. adultry,” he’d said, scowling at where that majestic stache once was.

× Gabe doesn’t like to drink. Jack likes to on special occasions and Gabe’s okay with it because he kind of likes babysitting drunk Jack. Also because drunk Jack doesn’t like wearing shirts.

× 01:00 UTC. That is when, if one or both is away, they make contact. Either through a simple text or a phone call. Unless Gabe is undercover or Jack is in a meeting he can’t leave.. There are other reasonable exceptions, of course. They just try to share something between them every day.

× They hold hands when they sleep. It makes waking up to nightmares easier. “Because the sooner I know he’s safe, the sooner I know everything is okay,” they’d both answer when asked why.
