Kids’ shows + representation of same-gender parents
Hello my dear children! I just wanted to show this off while showing a few canon(as far as I’m aware) representations I’m aware of. Not all are parent’s and some are from movies, but hey, it’s still nice!
Happy pride! –Love, Dad
Tabitha and Courtney from Craig of the Creek
Saphire and Ruby from Steven Universe (Nonbinary lesbians!)
Sheriff Blubs and Deputy Durland from Gravity Falls
Korra and Asami from Legend of Korra (The comics are actually a lot better!)
Marceline and Bubblegum (Censored)
Unamed lesbian and gay couple in Storks.
Bucky and Pronk in Zootopia (Had to be revealed);
Katherine Kane and Renee Montoya from Batman: Bad Blood
Gober Belch, How to Train Your Dragon 2 (Revealed)
Lexington from Gargoyles (Censored)
Maggie Sawyer and Toby Raynes from Superman the Animated Series (Censored)
Peter and Robert Simmons from Hey Arnold (Censored and revealed)
Eugene Horowitz from Hey Arnold (Revealed)
and plenty, PLENTY more. This isn’t even including animes, such as Sailor Moon, which experimented with just about everything in the LGBT+, as well as HunterXHunter which features not one but TWO trans characters!
P.S.
For reference, Censored means the characters were meant to be perceived as gay for their actions, while Revealed means they were already hinted to be but were not understood as such.
I hope this list brings a smile to all of your faces! –Love Dad
