Hello there! I hope you’re having a great day~ First of all, I apologize for being a little bit absent these last weeks. I’ve been busy working on commissions but I tried on giving me a chance for doing some things. One of those things was this collab I worked with my dear Kellen Hakuen these weeks.
For this collaboration, we chose a song of a Mexican singer named Alejandro Fernández, named “Mátalas” (”Kill them”) (Link of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjVa2o8-WnI . If the link doesn’t work, go to Youtube > Mátalas – Alejandro Fernández > ENJOY~ ), and we tried to represent a “Falling-in-love Process” with Hiro and Miguel with the help of Marco de la Cruz and Hiro’s friends. Kellen wrote a one shot and I did a comic.
Actually the song is in Spanish but thanks to my friend Axureé Rheeid who helped me on translating the lyrics into English you can know what the song is talking about. (ACTUALLY, the lyrics are all Marco’s dialogues (the chibi mariachi who is singing around)
MÁTALAS (Kill them) – ALEJANDRO FERNÁNDEZ
(ENGLISH TRANSLATION)
Friend, what’s the matter, you’re crying
It surely must be for women’s snubs
There are no blows more lethal for men
Than the cries and disdains of those beings
Friend I’m going to give you a good advice
If you want to enjoy their pleasures
Get a gun if you so want
Or buy a dagger if so you prefer
And become a women killer
Kill them
With an overdose of tenderness
Suffocate them with kisses and sweetness
Infect them with all of your nonsenses
Kill them
With flowers, with songs, don’t fail them
Because there’s no woman in this world
Who can resist those courtesies
Wake them up with a serenade
Without it being a special day bring them flowers
It doesn’t matter if she’s the worst ingrate of them all
