I commissioned @niklisson for a modern day look book for Dorian, and she came back with these amazing designs. I’ve always known Nika had an eye for fashion 💖
Nerds: You can’t “cancel Chris Hardwick” just because one woman made some claims about him
Nerds, also: -start a years long campaign of harassment and death threats targeting women in the games industry because one guy said his girlfriend cheated on him-
Okay. I’m an intern at nerdist. And I need you guys to know the truth, because there’s a lot of speculation flying around. Chris Hardwick does not own Nerdist anymore. He sold the company 2 years ago. He has zero bearing over what goes on here. And he’s a despicable person, we all know that now.
But the people who do? The people who run this place? The people who work their asses off every day? They are some of the kindest, most compassionate, most hardworking and driven people I know. I’ve been here two weeks and they treat me like a member of their family here. They’ve done nothing but support me and encourage me, and there hasn’t been a SINGLE moment where I’ve felt unsafe or uncomfortable. I can’t iterate enough what good people they are, truly. And they were all blindsided by the news today, just like everyone else. My boss had worked here for 5 years, she’s editor in chief of the website, and she never so much as met the guy. Yet he’s so tied up in the brands name that it feels like the wrath of God is coming down on them.
So all I’m asking is that you please don’t feel like you need to blame the incredible people who work here, or stop consuming Nerdist content in any form. Everyone here is heartbroken over what happened, and they stand with Chloe and support her no matter what.
I just personally ask that you don’t lash out at these people, because not a single one of them deserves it. Their grief has nothing to do with their jobs or anything like that, it’s genuinely because they care about this woman and hurt for her.
