I still headcanon that Bakugou can’t deal with how cute Kirishima is or how much he likes him and instead of dealing with that sudden rush of affection, Bakugou turns it into anger and competition and challenges someone to a fight.
Usually Kirishima. Sometimes Todoroki or Iida. Usually whoever is standing close to him.
If he’s really worked up, he’ll go drag Midoriya away from what he’s doing just to fight him.
And I bet Deku is fucking over it ( after Bakugou drags him away to fight 4 TIMES in a day, not always a fist fight, in detention it was arm wrestling and they got more detenction), agreeing with Uraraka that Bakugou just needs to tell Kirishima he likes him (because Kirishima is a little dense, Deku says affectionately, watching as Kaminari wails why meeeee as Bakugou drags him away for a fight).
Give me Midoriya who is quietly over Bakugou’s shit and also the #1 KiriBaku shipper.
Just, Midoriya dropping hints about how cute Kirishima is, how he’s gonna be a great pro hero, how anyone would be lucky to have him.
(He says this, looking directly in Bakugou’s face, so he’s ready for the punch that comes flying towards his mouth.)
And while Midoriya and Bakugou are kicking the shit out of each other and getting in trouble, Todoroki says, completely deadpan, to Kirishima “let’s get dinner.”
Before Kirishima can agree, Bakugo, with Midoriya in a headlock while Midoriya elbows him in the stomach, “C’MON, IF YOU’RE GONNA DATE SOMEONE OTHER THAN ME, DON’T LET IT BE ICY HOT”
(”I think Todoroki is a catch,” Kirishima says mildly, as Midoriya somehow grapples Bakugou to the ground, “But I don’t want to date anyone but Bakugou.”)
(Their first date is popsicles in Recovery GIrl’s office. Midoriya gets one too but Bakugou shuts the barrier curtain in his face afterwards.)
