I like haunted houses in theory BUT I have no idea how to react when the actors speak to you. They ask me a question and I just… answer it…

The scariest part of a haunted house is the unscripted social interaction.

Scary nurse in a creepy voice: “Do you have an appointment to see the doctor?”

Me: “Uh. Do you accept walk-ins?”

i literally have done and would do the same.

ok but the one time I’ve been to a Haunted House I had my eyes squeezed shut the whole time because I was NOT feelin it okay and some actor gets up in my face and tells me to loooook at himmmm

and in a very deceptively calm voice I said “I’m sure you’re lovely but I’ll pass.”

and there was just a beat of silence and he goes “… excuse me?”

and it was honestly the best part of that whole experience
