frankly i think even cishet and/or neurotypical people can get in on this because of Society Being An Asshole but the appeal of kids’ media is it portrays a world that is like the one you were promised you would have

kids’ shows also promote a “hey gang let’s save the town/world/galaxy/etc. together!” mode and it’s a form of community that jesus fuck i just realized my big problem with cishet white man literary fiction is that it’s not communitarian but back to kids’ media that is an easily project-into-able Gang Who Succeeds Together
