@joederartist Make sure the vents under and along the sides of your laptop are clear of dust. Make sure there’s enough room under and around it for air to circulate. Now plug in a BLANK 16GB (or higher) USB thumb drive. Start> Computer> Letter of thumb drive. Right click on it. Properties>ReadyBoost> check ‘Use This Drive’ and let Windows decide how much space to use. Reboot and try gaming. See if that helps with the overheating 🙂
USB thumb drives are cheap on eBay. If you don’t have a blank one, you can Format (wipe) one. Start> computer> letter of thumb drive, scroll down, choose Format. Choose NTFS file system and say YES when it asks to wipe/delete drive.
oh thanks for advice!! usually I just put wet cloth over it.
@joederartist – HOLY SHIT NOoo0oo!!. Never put wet stuff or spray wet stuff onto electronics. Especially computers. The moisture will eventually ruin the electronics inside – not to mention it attracting and *glopping* up dust in there!
