Wow. I’ve never thought about this before.
…why are you watching a youtube video when in a time of crisis? Either you have the knowledge already or you call for emergencies. Also, ads are there so people can make money off of their content. They’re not designed to be watched right that instant of emergency but to inform you so you’re prepared. My god.
Everyone in the notes supporting this better have fun searching for the video after waiting for their laptop to load before opening up the YouTube site while whoever they’re searching it for is dying
It’s almost like we don’t have phones that are readily available to load a YouTube video.
(Most) 911 dispatchers are trained to give you cpr instructions on the phone. Cpr is worth looking up if you have no idea what to do.
“Either you have the knowledge already or you call for emergencies”
No??? Both??? You call AND you try resuccitative efforts? Which civilians can 100% do??????
Like you understand it takes us time to dispatch go in route drive to the location and then get in the scene right? All that time could be spent with cpr in progress instead of just nothing and the 10 seconds it takes to look it up is much faster than however long it takes us to get to you…
Yeah you should look some stuff up before hand to be prepared and the heimlich and cpr are good to know but like??? Also its okay to look it up?
