Even assuming that a lot of people don’t do much research into the candidates, has no one seen political ads? I’m near the border of 2 districts, all the Republican ads I’ve seen were attack ads, all the Democratic ads were “I didn’t actually say that, here are the policies I’ll push for.” Why do people think they don’t have a platform?

Swing District #1: 

Democrat:  Here is my extensive resume of policy work around manufacturing, including the time I literally saved the specific jobs of thousands of people in this district, making me exceptionally qualified to represent a community where many people work in advanced manufacturing.

Republican:  LOL.  This loser lives at her parents house.  Here’s an inexplicable dig at people who work in food service industry also please don’t notice that I’m an heiress who is literally using my parent’s money to make this commercial. 

Swing District #2:

Democrat:  Here’s my extensive policy resume combined with a touching personal story about my commitment to protecting the ACA.

Republican:  *scary music with black and white footage*  My opponent is Antifa! She’s one of THEM!!! THEY are coming for you!!!
