hot take: literally any corn above 120 inches is in the uncanny valley but like, the plant uncanny valley. like from my experience (a previous job where i literally just walked around and measured corn for data sets):

40-65 inches or below (1-1.6 meters, 3-5 feet): inbred corn for hybrid breeding lines. VERY small, u can see the person in the row next to you over it, can talk at a normal voice level and have people hear you crystal clear, can still see your way out of the field. can be severely mutated depending on how many generations inbred it is. 

65-75 inches (1.6-2 meters, 5-6 feet): still kinda short, probably grew in a bad field or smth. can see through the tips of it, can probably find your way out of the field okay, people can hear you okay still. 

75-100 inches (2-2.5 meters, 6-8 feet): pretty normal, like i would say this is the average for a lot of corn fields. good, strong hybrid shit going on there. pretty decently over your head but you can still reach the flag leaf. hard for people to hear you even when you yell. hard to see. main way to get out of the field is to pick a direction and walk. field is noticeably darker and a couple degrees cooler because of the shade the leaves give. nothing grows on the ground (no light reaches down that far).  

100-110 inches (2.5-2.7 meters, 8-9 feet): VERY nice. DEFINITELY cannot see other people, DEFINITELY cannot be heard when you yell. pollen from the tassels above WILL fall down your shirt and you WILL find anthers when u shower later. 

110-120 inches (2.7-3 meters, 9-10 feet): holy fuck. this shit towers over you. you gotta pull down the plant a little to get the flag leaf to line up on the ruler. anthers are not only falling on your head and shirt, but are gathering on the leaves above your head and rain down on you when you bump them. do NOT look up if you don’t have eye protection. when i was in a field with corn this size i ran through it at one point bc i thought i was being chased by an axe murderer but really it was just one of my coworkers who was just as lost as i was, bc you cannot see or hear shit in there.

120+ inches (3+ meters, over 10 feet): Corn Uncanny Valley. like this is not normal corn and the thought of it makes me nervous
