It doesn’t matter if you love only the originals or just a select few. Star Wars is Star Wars but you are also a person. You can like a franchise but not love everything about it. As long as you love Star Wars, it doesn’t matter if you don’t love everything about Star Wars. Part of being a fan is also being a critic and being honest with what you like or don’t like. You can make a legit argument on why you love or hate something, or you can just enjoy things passively.
You can legitimately hate this man for antagonizing the fans: (There is of course more but I’ve reached my picture limit)
Or dislike this woman for discrediting the OT and her sexist remarks (again I’m at a picture limit)
And you can also understand that through the bad, there has been much good done:
You can love everything or just love things selectively, loving Star Wars is loving Star Wars.
Asshole Extremist:
You spend your time throwing racial slurs, insults, and harassing anyone who doesn’t agree with your opinion. There is no counter argument, no legitimate excuses.
There is a giant difference between hating a movie for legitimate reasons, disliking a character for bad writing or not liking an actor because of their acting. Hating a director for their comments or treatment of people, that’s all valid. But then there is this. If you are a piece of shit person like this you need to have Star Wars taken away from you. And for the people accusing individuals of being a racist for not liking a movie or a character when they have stated their legitimate reasons for feeling that way, you’re just an extremist asshole of a different flavor.
Racist/Sexist/Prejudice: That’s the true toxic nature of this or any fandom. Not criticism. Don’t confuse the two and stay woke to the true enemy.
